An All-Age Retreat
6.00pm Thur 13th August-3.30pm Sun 16th Aug 2020
Hosted by Border Collie Sangha at Wiston Lodge, near Biggar, South Lanarkshire ML12 6HT.
In the context of the Climate and Ecological Emergency, this All-Age Retreat will focus on Love Letter to the Earth that Thich Nhat Hanh wrote in 2013.
He calls on us all to “understand the Earth as a living, breathing organism” so we can heal ourselves, heal our lives and heal the earth, the plants, creatures and all the natural world as well.
We hope a gifted teacher will share how we can find healing ways of being as we learn more about the great challenge our children and grandchildren face.
• Mindfulness Meditation
• Walking Meditation – in the woods and grounds
• Touching the Earth
• Planting seeds and engaging in mindful gardening
• Taking the Five Mindfulness Trainings
• Dharma talks
• Art projects for all ages
• Preparing for COP26 Glasgow, 9-30 November 2020
Wiston Lodge – with its extensive grounds and natural environment against a backdrop of Tinto Hill – gives us the opportunity to deepen our awareness of Interbeing with Nature and with one another.
The doors are wide open for all our friends. We hope everyone young and old will feel regenerated through the explorations of the practice.
